Spring is coming, everything has recovered, and machine also started to keep up with the pace of resumption of work. Just like human, machine also needs proper maintenance after work. Our classic SC series cone crusher has included some protection functions. When we do it correctly, these functions can protect the machine and components from potential damages.
01 What to start?
Before starting the SC cone crusher, the lubrication station must be operating for 5 minutes, and must be closed 5 minutes after the SC cone machine is closed.

02 How to set the protection?
1- Firstly remove the V-belt between crusher and motor.
2- Try to start the lubrication station first, and then start the motor. When the lubrication is shut down, the main motor cannot be started.
3- Turn on the lubrication and then the crusher after 5 minutes. Both are running, now turn off the lubrication, then crusher must shut down. The lubrication unit must continue to work for 5 minutes after the crusher is shut down.
4- Turn on the lubrication and then the crusher after 5 minutes. Both are running, now manually disconnect the oil return float switch, then crusher must shut down.
5- Turn on the lubrication and then the crusher after 5 minutes. Both are running, now reduce the lubrication pressure to below 0.06 mpa (adjust the red valve). Low oil pressure alarm will come from electric cabinet. The pressure sensor light for lubrication goes out. The main motor must be turned off, but the lubrication must be kept working.
6- If necessary, adjust the adjustment knob on the pressure sensor and turn the adjustment bolt counter-clockwise until the indicator light of the sensor goes out. As shown below:
After detecting the low oil pressure protection, increase the lubrication pressure to the working pressure (above 0.06Mpa) by adjusting the red valve. Then turn the knob of the pressure sensor clockwise until the red light of the pressure sensor lights up, as shown in the following table: (The red light of pressure sensor must be on when the crusher is working.)
Check the rotation direction of the motor and then install the V-belts. The correct direction of rotation of the crusher pulley is counter-clockwise. After all the tests are completed, put the V-belt back in place and start the test run according to the user manual.
03 Things to pay attention to!
According to the lubrication oil temperature and pressure below, it is very important to ensure the normal operation of the cooling system:
Below 16oC or lower-above 27oC-turn the heater on and off
Above 16oC-the cone can be started normally
Above 42oC-optimum lubricating oil temperature
46oC – 35oC-the automatic opening and closing temperature of the cooling system
54oC-crusher shuts down due to high oil temperature
Oil pressure below 0.06MPa-the crusher shuts down because of low oil pressure (the oil pressure indicator lights off).
